Privacy Policy
AgeMyEars — published by Tofesoft · Last updated: 2026-07-28
AgeMyEars is an entertainment app, not a medical or health product.
Hearing test results are for fun and self-curiosity only. They are not medical
data, are not a diagnosis, and should not be used to assess your hearing health.
This Privacy Policy explains what information the AgeMyEars iOS app ("the App", "we",
"us") collects, how it is used, and your choices. By using the App you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
We designed AgeMyEars to work without asking for your name, email, or any account. We do not collect personally identifying information. Specifically:
- Anonymous identifier. On first launch we create an anonymous ID (via Firebase Anonymous Authentication) so your settings, quota, and history can be linked to your device without identifying you.
- Usage & analytics. We use Firebase Analytics to understand aggregate usage (screens viewed, tests started/completed, purchases, app version, device model, coarse country/region). This data is aggregated and not used to identify you.
- Crash reports. Firebase Crashlytics collects diagnostic information if the App crashes, to help us fix problems.
- Purchases. Purchase status and remaining test credits are processed by Apple and by RevenueCat, linked only to your anonymous ID. We never see or store your payment card details.
- Hearing test results. Your results (estimated "ear age", highest audible frequency) are stored locally on your device. If cloud sync is enabled, they may be stored in Firebase under your anonymous ID so you can access your history across sessions.
- Notifications. If you allow notifications, Apple/Firebase provides a device push token so we can deliver reminders and occasional messages. You can turn this off any time.
The App contains no advertising and does not use any AI service. Audio processing happens entirely on your device.
2. How we use information
- To provide core features (run tests, keep your history, enforce free-test limits, track purchased test credits, unlock Full Access).
- To improve the App through aggregate analytics and crash diagnostics.
- To send notifications you have opted into.
We do not sell your data and do not use it for third-party advertising.
3. Third-party services
The App relies on the following processors, each governed by its own privacy policy:
- Google Firebase (Authentication, Analytics, Crashlytics, Firestore, Remote Config, Cloud Messaging, App Check)
- RevenueCat (in-app purchase management)
- Apple (App Store purchases, push notification delivery)
4. Data storage & retention
Local data lives on your device and is removed when you delete the App. Cloud data (if any) is retained under your anonymous ID until you request deletion. Data is processed on Google/Apple servers, which may be located outside your country.
5. Your choices & rights
- Delete local data: uninstall the App.
- Notifications: manage in the App's Settings or in iOS Settings.
- Cloud data deletion / access: contact us at the address below and we will delete data associated with your anonymous ID where feasible.
6. Children
AgeMyEars is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country) and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
7. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
